Evening - Weekend Coordinator - Victor Campus Center, PT buy in US, Free Classifieds Ads

The Campus Center Evening Coordinator serves as the Student Services liaison and operations supervisor at the center. Responsible for the evening management of the center, including opening and closing the center, supervision of support and janitorial staff, working closely with the faculty, and ensuring appropriate janitorial services are provided to the center. Responsible for scheduling classroom needs with appropriate staff. Frequent weekend hours may be necessary for special activity coverage.
1. Qualifications:
A. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Counseling, Education, Communications, Human Services, or a related field. Minimum of one year administrative experience, preferably in student services or academic/instructional services in a college setting.
B. Experience: Minimum of one year administrative experience, preferably in student services or academic/instructional services in a college setting.Knowledge of student services and academic requirements, including admissions, financial aid, advisement, registration, counseling, program curricula, academic support services, etc, preferred. Experience in facility management preferred.
C. Special Skills: Ability to work independently and effectively with students, faculty, area employers, and the general public in the extension center service area and to work cooperatively with appropriate staff members at the center. Excellent communication and organizational skills, familiarity with computer software and data base software.
2. Essential Functions:
Center Management:
Responsible for coordination of evening activities at the center and general facility usage (e.g., use of facilities by outside groups, room reservations, etc.)
Manages the center and ensures cleanliness of the facility by supervising the janitorial service staff.
Opens and closes the center on a planned basis with other staff, as per a specific schedule.
Serves as liaison to Extension Center Administrator / Counselor by maintaining daily communication regarding any problems or concerns and may be required to keep a nightly log.
Responds to building emergencies in consultation with appropriate staff and administration.
Supervise appropriate evening center support staff.
Student Services:
Liaison with main campus and refers students to appropriate main campus services, e.g. personal, transfer, career counseling services.
Coordinates evening placement tests.
Provides academic advisement services to center students.
Provides admissions and financial aid services in consultation with main campus.
Coordinates evening center registration activities in consultation with the Extension Administrator/Counselor and main campus.
Serves as an advocate in promoting center evening students needs to the Extension Center Administrator/Counselor.
$15/hour, 4:00 - 10:00 pm weekdays
